Heat and Moisture Exchanger, Sterile, 50/cs (HME002)

Amsino is offering Passive Heat and Moisture Exchanger forTracheostomy Patients. HME is required when a patient can no longer inspireand expire through the nose and mouth. The nose and mouth providenatural warmth, moisture and filtration for the air we breathe. Having atracheostomy tube, however, by-passes these mechanisms so humidificationmust be provided to keep secretions thin and to avoid mucus plugs. Inorder to keep the environment at an optimal humidity level, Heat MoistureExchangers are used.
